Organisations work in an increasingly complex environment. In order to successfully cope, we need to be able to anticipate and understand change and to proactively plan for it, so as to increase our resilience and adaptiveness. Scenario planning has established itself as a sophisticated methodology that can be used in multiple ways to enhance organisations’ capacity to thrive in a complex, always changing environment. In this expansive and in-depth ICFS Program, participants will learn the skills and knowledge needed to address the challenges facing their organisation, including: how to assess change, how to create scenarios, how to develop strategy, and how to implement and communicate change?
The course follows a proven and well-publicised analytical framework called TAIDA (Tracking, Analysing, Imaging, Deciding and Acting). It enables participants to understand step-by-step the theory and practice of futures thinking and strategy development. A tailor-made 3-day module is devoted to key elements in the framework. Participants deepen their knowledge by building on the skills and concepts learnt in prior modules. The focus of the ICFS Program is on the practical application of the TAIDA model and the implementation of future studies and strategy development in the participants’ own organisation.
